Cream: the color that decorates
As we often say: fashions always return! In this case, directly from the 1950s,
off-cream environments return to our homes. The cream color will be one of the protagonists of the interior design of 2021.
A group of like
A total-cream environment is fresh, welcoming and relaxing. It immediately takes us back in time, to a retro atmosphere of elegance and tranquility.
But what are the cream shades? Toffee, caramel, sand, almond, ivory, vanilla, clay, cream, butter ...
After almost 70 years, our homes are once again colored with these warm and clear colors. The result is a clean and effective look!
Cream colors and design
A single shade of color for the furnishing of a room can raise many questions. Will it all be flat? Will I have a "highlight" that attracts attention? How can I make the environment special by using only cream colors?
The answer is: texture! In fact, if you have chosen a limited color palette for your home or in any case of very similar shades, the textures are excellent allies. The plays of light and shadow given by the different materials and processes manage to move the environment and make it unique.
A fundamental aspect to make a total cream environment truly special is styling. Perfect styling will allow you to create dynamism without too much effort. You can think, for example, of using pillows and blankets for the sofa: they will give a sense of everyday life and liveability to your living room. Flowers are also perfect for creating movement at a low cost. The choice of vases can also be an interesting trick. Try combining some with a glossy finish to others with a matte or textured finish.
As for the rooms, you can think of using paintings or prints. The main color of the compositions depicted will still be cream, but combined with other contrasting colors they will give an extra touch. Among other things, the use of abstract prints and paintings will also be very trendy for this 2021!
Finally, textiles also come in handy for our cream combinations. Curtains and carpets are perfect for dividing areas of the house, to give lightness and color to the environment.
