Natural materials: how design interacts with nature

From product design to construction, from textiles to office necessities, natural materials are increasingly gaining ground throughout the world of production.

This trend comes to defeat its competitor, son of the industrialization of the last century. As usual for trends, when one of them stays in vogue for a long time, everyone wonders when it will be replaced. In this period we are witnessing the return of craftsmanship and uniqueness in opposition to the homologation of mass production.

Natural materials and manufacturing

As we said, craftsmanship is making its triumphant return to our daily life. We do not simply want the ability to customize an object or item of clothing that has already been produced. We want it to be a unique piece and, above all, to be made using natural materials. Attention to the environment is becoming increasingly rooted in our culture, to the point of leading us to prefer bio or eco-compatible food, clothing or objects.

Of vegetable or animal origin, natural materials are more appreciated if treated in such a way as to enhance their qualities. A manufacturing process that highlights the texture of the material used is perfect for conveying its essence.

Speaking of natural materials, we can only think of our beloved linen.

Bringing it into a living space means creating an atmosphere of well-being and connection with nature. It means getting in touch with the external environment by bringing a piece inside the house.

Linen is a living material, which tells its story and that of its inhabitants.
