Mint green: decorate your home with this color

AMB_AB403.jpg

Mint green has always been present in the color palettes for interior design, but today more than ever it is very much in vogue! We give you some suggestions on combinations ...

Widely used in the 1950s for interior design, mint green has never really gone out of fashion in the last 70 years.

Mint green is a very light and cold shade of green, almost tending towards blue. A very versatile pastel shade.

In the 1950s, it was used above all for furnishing accessories: we can think, for example, of the iconic refrigerators, toasters or kitchen cabinets.

What's the right style?

The main feature of mint green is to be able to give freshness and lightness to the rooms it occupies. It is a truly versatile color and suitable for many styles. A widely used combination is vintage, its original style. We can therefore opt for armchairs, tiles or iconic accessories for the kitchen. We can also use mint green in our Scandinavian furniture to make it fresher: try coloring the walls or using it for textiles and upholstery. Even shabby chic is a style that embraces this nuance of color well: green light for tables, chairs and mint green dresser! Would you like to create a modern environment but with references to the past? Modern is the style for you and, in these environments, the mint color is always welcome! You can use it for tiles, walls, objects, tables… Finally, this color is also perfect for softening the solidity of the industrial style, softening and lightening it. You can think of using small touches of this color for furnishings and textiles.

Color combinations

We could consider mint green almost as a neutral color due to the amount of colors it can be combined with. The perfect color palette does not exist ... but there is the perfect one for you! We give you some ideas. Mint green, depending on your taste, can be combined with both neutral colors and slightly more vibrant and saturated colors.

As for neutral tones, mint goes perfectly with both white, black, beige and gray tones. If, on the other hand, you are a lover of color, you could try to combine it with nuances of salmon pink, lemon yellow or forest green ... Or try and dare with other combinations!
